Today in my thrilling job at food service, I was washing heads of lettuce. What we do is we have to sanitize the sink, then fill it up with water and heads, then dab the lettuce heads around a few times before taking them out. While dunking heads of lettuce in the water, I couldn't help but be reminded of the Russian sauna experience when we hit each other with wet bundles of branches.
and she's back! Washing vegetables here is quite a process, and lettuce doesn't fare well. There are some good books on your shelf! (random thoughts from Honduras . . . )
